Please read the information contained in the 2012 Music Nova Scotia Awards Manual (PDF) carefully to ensure that your submissions fulfill the criteria required for your nominee. This is a call to submit to showcase at the festival recently awarded Best Regional Festival at the 2012 Yearly Music Conference Awards in Brighton, UK. Submissions will open Tuesday, May 22 at and close Friday, June 15th at 5:00pm. Halifax, Nova Scotia - There were 99 nominations for Nova Scotians for the 2012 East Coast Music Awards (ECMA), so it was no surprise that 24 of the 33 ECMAs awarded throughout the weekend in Moncton went to Nova Scotians. Music Nova Scotia, beaming with pride, would like to congratulate all of the 2012 nominees and winners from all four provinces.

Music Nova Scotia will be heading to Moncton tomorrow to take in the sights and sounds of East Coast Music Week while representing all the Nova Scotians taking part in this year’s festival. September 16, 2010 Halifax, Nova Scotia – Steve Patterson, comedian and host of The Debaters on CBC Radio and singer/songwriter Christina Martin will co-host the Music Nova Scotia Gala Awards Show in Yarmouth taking place Sunday, November 7 as part of Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week. Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week Yarmouth 2010 will be bullfrogpowered with 100% green electricity. This means that Bullfrog Power will inject renewable electricity onto the local Yarmouth grid to match music week’s event usage. Bullfrog’s electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada under its EcoLogoM program instead of from polluting sources like coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear power.

Lyman is also creating a Country tour based around the Warped model and has opened a full time office in Nashville to help facilitate and plan, the yet to be named tour, in 2010.
