         
Archie Gillis
Archie Gillis is a Halifax, Nova Scotian based, guitarist, singer, songwriter, who grew up on Cape Breton Island. His most recent musical accomplishment has been the release of his much anticipated debut solo album, Eating Apples with Snakes, this past January 2010. It is an album driven by Archie's songwriting, which is a mixture of folk, blues and pop styles. With this album he steps away from his previous role as a lead guitarist with numerous other groups. Most recently he received an Honorable Mention as a finalist in the International Songwriting Contest (the largest in the world), in the folk, singer, songwriter category.
