The NSLC's Halifax Urban Folk Festival (HUFF), in association with Music Nova Scotia and SOCAN, present More Than Words, a songwriting workshop with Ron Hawkins, Willie Nile, Elliot Murphy and Steve Poltz.
This is an amazing opportunity to learn about the art and nature of songwriting from four talented, internationally recognised and accomplished songwriters and performers.
Two educational sessions will take place at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill, 1685 Argyle St., Halifax, N.S. The sessions will provide information on the art of music composition, lyric writing, and the business of songwriting.
1st Session: Saturday, September 1st. Featuring Ron Hawkins and Willie Nile, 2pm
2nd Session: Sunday, September 2nd. Featuring Elliot Murphy and Steve Poltz, 2pm
The workshop series is open to all Music Nova Scotia members in good standing. There are only 20 spots available in each session, so please RSVP as soon as possible to rsvp@musicnovascotia.ca with the subject line “HUFF”. RSVP’s must be received no later than Monday, August 27th. You may attend both sessions, but please indicate clearly which session(s) you want to attend. Only two names per RSVP email please.
