ACCORD is a band of musicians from the St. Mary's Bay of Nova Scotia who deliver an energetic blend of toe tapping guitar, violin, banjo and mandolin music of Acadian, bluegrass and folk origins. Their eclectic blend combines the energy, rhythm and soul of the traditional Acadian kitchen parties. Kyle Doucette, 19 years of age, is already a well respected flat picking guitarist, banjo and mandolin player. He has 8 years of professional training in Guitar and banjo and 3 years in voice. Lisa Doucette,17 year old violinist with 2 years bluegrass and 4 years classical training, is quickly building up a fan base with her own unique and romantic style. Nathan Boudreau, 19 ,is also a talented guitarist with strong musical roots who accompanies and harmonizes to complete the band. Listen to Ambition - A.M.B.I.T.I.O.N. Banded Stilts made their live performance debut at Halifax's "In the Dead of Winter" Music Festival, followed shortly thereafter by an ECMA showcase, a 6 song EP release and a subsequent Canadian tour. The band is currently back in the studio recording their debut LP and are eagerly anticipating the fall where they will be showcasing at Halifax Pop Explosion and Molson Canadian Music Nova Scotia Week 2011.

Listen to Ghettochild - Welcome To Nova Scotia Alternative content Paul Smith was born and raised in Halifax’s North End Community of Uniacke Square. From a young age he involved himself in anything music related from pageants and community events as a child to battles and ciphers on the corners and in clubs as he grew up. Taking the stage name Ghettochild, he along with fellow Squaretown artists AWOL, T Bone D and Jordan Croucher (JRDN) created the scene changing group NEP. NEP released many mix tapes together before eventually branching out as solo artists. As well as performing and recording as a solo artist, Ghettochild was later a part of the group Heavy Spittaz, gaining Canada-wide exposure for their hype sound and performance style.

Listen to Gypsophilia - Montreal Alternative content Halifax-based band Gypsophilia is a group of young performers whose music straddles the jazz and indie worlds. The band started in 2004 as a Django Reinhardt-inspired project, but soon found itself mixing gypsy jazz with klezmer, funk, classical music, indie rock, and bebop, writing its own tunes and playing to sold out crowds. Gypsophilia is promoting its third record, Constellation, with a Canadian tour.
