Alternative content Music is what feelings sound like; and every once in a while, you come across someone who’s feelings speak fluently. These unlikely phenoms sometimes come from the most unlikely places. Kayo (Kayo Guevarra) is no exception to that rule. One life, One Love, One Music, One People; One is the slogan that St Lucian born, Filbert ‘Kayo’ Salton atones to. Born into a loving family of five in a semi dangerous part of St Lucia, Kayo has been honing his talent from the age of 12. Often considered a ‘golden child’ to music in the Caribbean, his style is a unique one, fusing a raspy, edgy yet melodic voice with intensely potent lyrics and a hint of Caribbean flavor.
