After the long process of recording and touring his band Caledonia's latest album, "We Are America" (nominated for 5 ECMA 2010 awards), Steve stole some time away last fall to record a solo disk with some friends, Kris Pope (Acres and Acres), Daniel Ledwell (In Flight Safety), Jenn Grant, Zac Crouse, and Rose Cousins. Inspired by a public talk by Daniel Lanois, this Factor funded record is being shepherded by acclaimed John Critchley (Elliott Brood, Dan Mangan).
Steve has performed with Jenn Grant, Rose Cousins, The Divorcees, Garret Mason, Duane Andrews and opened shows countless times for Caledonia on the band’s national tours. Recently, Steve has been performing solo with packed showcases at the annual Musician's for Farmers fundraiser, In the Dead of Winter Festival and the ECMA's.
While preparing for his debut release, Steve will be opening for the Warped '45s for many of the dates on their CD release tour in addition to showcasing at the coveted Dawson City Music Festival this July.
